RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK Connect the appliance only to correctly installed mains power sockets supplying a mains voltage of 220 - 240 V ~ / 50 Hz. In the event of operating malfunctions and before cleaning the appliance, disconnect the plug from the mains power socket. NOTICE If possible preserve the appliance's original packaging during the warranty period so that in the case of a warranty claim you can package the appliance properly for return. Mains voltage Rated power Appliance protection type Water tank capacity 220 - 240 V ~, 50 Hz 1300 W IPX4 300 ml With a water filling of 300 ml (MAX), steam can be generated for about 10 minutes. 1) Open the large screw on the retainer of the squeegee 6, such that you can push in the metal rail with the rubber lip. To ensure faultfree operation and a long service life for the appliance, pay heed to the following instructions: First press the steam lever 1 when the green control lamp 8 glows. If you press too early it may cause an accumulation of hot water in the appliance, which will drip or spray from the nozzle. Before switching the appliance off, always allow all of the steam to drain out by pressing the steam lever 1 until no more steam exits from the nozzle. RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK Always disconnect the plug from the mains power socket before you add water to the water tank 3! 1) Turn the water tank 3 such that the marking on the water tank points to the open lock on the appliance. Ensure that you never fill the tank with more water than up to the MAX marking, and never less than up to the MIN marking. Should the mains water at your locality be rated as hard, it is recommended that you mix the mains water with distilled water. Otherwise, the appliance could calcify prematurely and clog the steam nozzle q. To extend the optimal functioning of the appliance, mix the mains water with distilled water as per the following table. Water hardness very soft / soft medium hard very hard Ratios - distilled water to mains water 0 1:1 2:1 3:1 The water hardness level can be queried at your local water works. 5) Place the water tank 3 slightly offset below the appliance, so that the marking on the water tank points to the open lock on the appliance. 6) Turn the water tank 3 so far that the marking points to the closed lock . Thereby, ensure that the hose that sucks the water up is always lying in the front area of the water tank 3. If you do not, it may happen that during use some water will remain in the water tank 3. Taking the appliance into use 1) Insert the plug into a mains power socket. 2) As soon as the appliance is ready for use the green control lamp 8 starts to glow - the red control lamp 7 continues to glow. NOTICE During the heating up period it can happen that there is an occasional escape of steam from the steam nozzle q. The pump pumps water into the heater element, steam is generated and exits from the steam nozzle q. [. . . ] 6) Hold the appliance over a sink and press and hold the steam lever 1 down. 5 minutes) hot water drips from the steam nozzle q and flushes the dissolved limestone and soiling out of the appliance. 7) When the water from the water tank 3 is depleted and there is no more water in the appliance, release the steam lever 1. Check to ensure that the water with the descaler is completely used up. [. . . ]
