Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] We have compiled this booklet to provide a comprehensive overview of your vehicle's quality features. Please, read it carefully before riding the vehicle for the first time. it contains information , tips and precautions for using your vehicle. It also describes features, details and devices to assure you that you have made the right choice. [. . . ] If necessary, pedal height can be adjusted to personal requirements: · Tighten the pump control bar with the lock nut (1). Engine run-in is essential to ensure engine long life and correct operation. If possible, ride on roads with lots of bends and/or slopes to run in engine, suspensions and brakes efficiently. In this way, more or subsequently less load work is required from the clutch components, thus cooling the engine parts. Even if it is important to "strain" engine components during run-in, make sure not to overdo this. Do not twist the throttle grip abruptly and fully at low engine speed either during or after runin. During the first 100 km (62 miles) operate the brakes with caution to avoid rough and long braking. that is to permit the adequate adjustment of the pad friction material to the brake disc. Between 800 km (500 mi) and 1600 km (1000 mi) travelled, ride more vigourously, vary speeds and twist throttle fully for some short periods for best coupling of the components; do not exceed 9000 rpm. After 1600 km (1000 miles) a better engine performance may be expected, but without exceeding the engine maximum rpm power of 11000 rpm. Starting up the engine (03_03, 03_04, 03_05, 03_06, 03_07) Make sure light switch (2) is set to "low-beam". The red warning light signalling "mixer oil reserve" in the instrument panel comes on. If the engine is started without being warmed up, turn the cold start lever (6) clockwise (Pos. It is very important to select an adequate parking spot, in compliance with road signals and the guidelines described below. Catalytic models are fitted with a silencer with a "two-way platinum-rhodium" catalytic converter. This device oxidises CO (carbon monoxide) and HC (unburned hydrocarbons) present in exhaust fumes, turning them into carbon dioxide and water vapour respectively. NEVER leave the ignition key in the lock and always use the steering lock. Park the vehicle in a safe place such as a garage or a place with guards. Write down your personal details and telephone number on this page to help identifying the owner in case of vehicle retrieval after a theft. Stop the engine and let it cool off for at least ten minutes so that the oil in the crankcase flows down and cools as well. Make sure the oil level covers the checking sight glass (1) completely. Unscrew it using the spanner supplied in the toolkit and remove it from its seat, being careful not to let dust or any other substance get into the cylinder. [. . . ] Sponge off using a car body sponge soaked in a car body shampoo and water solution (2 ÷ 4% parts of shampoo in water). To clean the engine outer parts, use degreasing detergent, brushes and old cloths. anodised or painted aluminium parts such as forks , rims , frame , footrests etc. Using aggressive detergents may damage the surface treatment of these components.
