Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] We have compiled this booklet to provide a comprehensive overview of your vehicle's quality features. Please, read it carefully before riding the vehicle for the first time. it contains information , tips and precautions for using your vehicle. It also describes features, details and devices to assure you that you have made the right choice. [. . . ] Do not carry objects in the top fairing (between the handlebar and the instrument panel) so that handlebar can turn freely and the instrument panel is visible at all times. On the instrument panel, all warning lights (4) and the backlighting are on for 2 seconds. The odometer needle (5) goes to the bottom of the scale and after 3 seconds, it goes back to the minimum value. the current value is instantly indicated on the instrument panel during regular vehicle riding. Engage at least a break lever and do not accelerate until you set off. For the first riding kilometres, limit the speed in order to warm up the engine. 03_19 Shifting from a higher to a lower gear, called "downshift", is carried out: · When riding downhill and when braking, in order to increase the braking power by using engine compression. When going uphill, when the engaged gear does not suit the speed (high gear, moderate speed) and the number of engine revs falls. It is very important to select an adequate parking spot, in compliance with road signals and the guidelines described below. Vehicle owners are warned that the law may prohibit the following: · The removal of any device or element belonging to a new vehicle or any other action by anyone leading to render it nonoperating, if not for maintenance, repair or replacement reasons, in order to control noise emission before the sale or delivery of the vehicle to the ultimate buyer or while it is used; · Using the vehicle after that device or element has been removed or rendered non-operating. Check the muffler/exhaust silencer and the silencer pipes, make sure there are no signs of rust or holes and that the exhaust system works properly. If you not an increase in exhaust noise, take your vehicle to an Official aprilia Dealer at once. If the stand has been folded up for any manoeuvre (for example, when the vehicle is in motion), rest the vehicle on its stand again as follows: · Grasp the left grip (1) and put the right hand on the upper rear part of the vehicle (2). Push the side stand with your right foot, and extend it completely (3). When in sequential mode, gears can be shifted by operating the handlebar controls or by the traditional pedal without the need to operate the clutch. The foot gear selector is a traditional one, quick when sudden downshifting is required, mainly used in semiautomatic mode. The buttons are quicker to operate and it is not necessary to decelerate when shifting. When the gear is in sequential mode, the words SPORT GEAR and the gear number are displayed in the instrument panel. When in AUTO-DRIVE mode, gear shifting is automatic; riders only need to operate the throttle and the brakes. Gear are shifted continuously, truly suitable for riding in the city or for tours. When the transmission is in AUTODRIVE mode, another mode can be used when braking or decelerating: the SEMIAUTOMATIC mode. This mode can be used if the rider wishes to downshift several gears or wishes to have more engine Braking when at an emergency braking or special manoeuvres.
