Delete config. sys and autoexec. bat. Online Manual Fresh installation of Windows 98 on a new system 1. After Windows 98's installation is complete, go to the Control Panel > Power Management. Click on "Hibernate" and select "Enable Hibernate Support" then "Apply". Click on the "Advanced" tab, you'll see "Hibernate" on "Power Buttons".
