Hardware Installation
1. No power must be applied to your computer when you install the internal modem, or the computer could be damaged. Select any available PCI slot into which you can install the internal modem. [. . . ] When Windows detects the modem, the message "This wizard searches for new drivers for: PCI Communication Device" is displayed. Click Next.

To search for the best drivers for your device, click Next.

Insert the driver CD into your CD-ROM drive and then specify the location E:\Drivers\Usa_Asia\FM56-PLX\Win9X (E is your CD-ROM drive. If you are an Australian user, select Australia folder for instead. ) and then click Next.

Windows will show the message "Windows driver file search for the device "AOpen PCI Modem Enumerator" and show the location of driver. Click Next

Click Finish to complete the installation.

Installation Procedures for Windows ME
1. When Windows detects the modem, the message "Windows has found the following new hardware: PCI Communication Device" is displayed. Select "Automatic search for a better driver" or "Specify the location of the driver". If you are an Australian user, select Australia folder for instead. )

Select AOpen PCI Modem Enumerator whose location is E:\DRIVERS\USA_ASIA\FM56-PLX\WINME (E is your CD-ROM drive. If you are an Australian user, select Australia folder for instead. ) and then click OK.

Windows has finished installing the new device. Click Finish to complete the installation.

Installation Procedures for Windows 2000
1. When Windows detects the modem, the wizard will help you to install the new device. Click Next to begin installation.

Select "Search for a suitable driver for my device". Then click Next.

Insert the driver CD into your CD-ROM drive. Select "Specify a location" only and then click Next.

Choose Browse to specify the location E:\Drivers\Usa_Asia\FM-56PLX\Win2K (E is your CD-ROM drive. If you are an Australian user, select Australia folder for instead. ) and then click OK.

Wizard will find the correct driver for the new device. [. . . ] Select "Install the software automatically" and insert driver CD into your CD-ROM drive. Windows will install the driver automatically.

Select AOpen FM56-PX Controllerless PCI Modem whose location is e:\drivers\usa_asia\fm56-plx\winxp (e is your CD-ROM drive. If you are an Australian user, select Australia folder for instead. ) and then click OK.

Click Finish to complete the installation.
