Hardware Installation
1. No power must be applied to your computer when you install the internal modem, or the computer could be damaged. [. . . ] Lift your telephone's handset and listen for a dial tone.

Software Installation
Installation Procedures for Windows 9x
1. When Windows detects the modem, the message "This wizard searches for new drivers for: PCI Communication Device" is displayed. Click Next.

To search for the best drivers for your device, click Next.

Insert the driver CD and specify the location: F:\Drivers\FM56-PLM\Win9x (F is your CD-ROM drive. ) and then click Next.

Windows will show the message "Windows driver file search for the device "AOpen PCI Modem Enumerator" and show the location of driver. Click Next

Click Finish to complete the installation procedures.

Installation Procedures for Windows ME
1. When Windows detects the modem, the message "Windows has found the following new hardware: PCI Communication Device" is displayed. Select "Automatic search for a better driver" or "Specify the location of the driver". (F is your CD-ROM drive. )

Select AOpen PCI Modem whose location is F:\DRIVERS\FM56-PLM\WINME (F is your CD-ROM drive. ) and then click OK.

Windows has finished installing the new device. Click Finish to complete installation.

Installation Procedures for Windows 2000
1. When Windows detects the modem, the wizard will help you to install the new device. Click Next to begin installation.

Select "Search for a suitable driver for my device". Then click Next.

Select "CD-ROM drives" or "Specify a location". If you select "Specify a location" only, and you will need to indicate the path: F:\Drivers\FM56-PLM\Win2K_XP. (F is your CD-ROM drive. )

Wizard will find the correct driver for the new device. Then click Next.

Read the Digital Signature and then click Yes.

Click Have Disk to select the new driver.

Insert driver CD into your CD-ROM drive. Click Browse to indicate the location: E:\Driver\FM56-PLM\Win2K_XP (E is your CD-ROM drive. ) and then click OK.

Select the model named AOpen FM56-PLM Controllerless PCI Modem and then click Next.
