[. . . ] Always stop the vehicle in a safe location before operating this equipment. Keep the volume at a level where you can still hear outside noises while driving. Driving while unable to hear outside noises could be the cause of accident. Do not insert hands, fingers or foreign objects in the disc or cassette insertion slots, or in gaps during monitor startup/storage. [. . . ] To use this procedure for other bands, simply select the band desired and repeat the procedure. A total of 30 stations can be stored in the preset memory (6 stations for each band; FM1, FM2, FM 3, MW and LW. Note: If you store a station in a preset memory which already has a station, the current station will be cleared and replaced with the new station. Each press changes the band: F1 F2 F3 LW MW The frequency on the display continues to change while the automatic memory is in progress. The tuner will automatically seek and store 6 strong stations in the selected band in order of signal strength. When power is turned off or the front panel is removed, the full-logic mechanism will automatically switch to the PAUSE mode. This protects the tape from being deformed by the pinch-rollers if left for long periods. Auto Metal When a metal cassette tape is inserted, the player automatically adjusts to the equalization for metal or any other high bias tape for optimum sound. Insert a cassette (or press the source button to switch from the tuner or CD Shuttle mode if a cassette is already inside the tape player). The display shows "TAPE" and " or " during tape playback to show the tape side being played. When the end of the tape is reached, the unit automatically stops and reverses the tape to play the other side of the tape. Press the F1 button in the tape mode when the FUNC indicator is not illuminating to select the Dolby B NR or C NR to play a Dolby B NR or C NR encoded tape respectively. The p B or p C indicator appears to show your selection and the noise level becomes low. Each press of F1 button changes as follows: Press the g DN or UP f button during tape play to fast rewind or forward the tape respectively. [. . . ] Press and hold the F6 button for at least 3 seconds to cancel the disc title erasing mode. Press the FUNC button repeatedly until the FUNC indicator disappears from the display.
