[. . . ] Playing an MD while driving on a very bumpy road may result in skips, but this will not damage the changer. Before inserting a new MD use your finger to feel around the outer edge of the MD cartridge. Inserting an MD with bumps could severely damage the changer mechanism. When operating the unit for the first time after installation or after the vehicle's battery has been disconnected and reconnected, press the OPEN button and open the display panel. [. . . ] Press the Reset switch mounted behind the small hole with a ball-point pen or any other pointed object. To turn the power on or off to the MDA-7755R, use the power switch on your head unit. The power to the MDA-7755R and head unit will be turned on or off simultaneously. This function will give audible feedback with varying tones depending upon the button pressed. With the head lights of the vehicle ON, setting the illumination control of the vehicle to ON decreases the illumination brightiness of the unit. If the illumination is too bright during the night, set the Illumination control of the unit to ON. You can adjust the contrast of the display (brighter or darker) for better visivility. After adusting the contrast, press the INTLZ button to return to the normal mode. If the MD title or track name is longer than 16 characters, press the SCROLL button. It will display the entire title by scrolling 1 character at a time to the left in the display. After displaying the last character for 3 seconds, the display return to the normal mode. If the MD title is not preset or no MD is loaded, the display shows - - - - - . notes: · The MDA-7755R may not display every title properly, depending on the unit used to record/enter the title.
