Setting the Digital Output Use the following procedure to set the digital audio signal output from the DVA-5205P. ENT. Setting the Downmix Mode This function applies to Dolby Digital, DTS stream sound. Setting item: DOWNMIX MODE Setting contents: STEREO/SURROUND ENCODED STEREO: Stereo Downmix SURROUND ENCODED: Surround compatible Downmix The initial setting at the factory is SURROUND ENCODED. 30-EN Custom Setup 5 When the setting is complete, press SETUP. The setup returns to normal mode. · When settings are changed, old settings are overwritten. If the vehicle's battery is disconnected, the settings will be cleared and will return to the factory settings. Setting the DVD Audio Playback Mode To playback the DVD Audio Disc, you have a choice of 3 different settings. If the disc containing DVD Video and Audio, set VCAP (Video Capable Audio Player) or VOFF (Video OFF) to playback the DVD Audio. Setting item: DVD-A PLAY MODE Setting contents: VIDEO/VCAP/VOFF Numeric keypad (0 to 9) ENT. RETURN CLR SETUP Only DVD Video is played back if the disc contains DVD Video and Audio. If a disc has already been inserted, perform the setting after you remove the disc. Setting the CD Play Mode Custom Setup Operation · Custom Setup Operation is performed by the remote control unit. Channel/Category Search Function You can search for programs by Channel No. or Category. 1 2 Press in the XM or SIRIUS mode. Secure the ground lead of the unit to a clean metal spot using a screw (*) already attached to the vehicle's chassis. · For the screw marked **, use an appropriate screw for the chosen mounting location. Connect each input lead coming from an amplifier or equalizer to the corresponding output lead coming from the left rear of the DVA-5205P. Connect all other leads of the DVA-5205P according to details described in the "Connections" section. · The main unit must be mounted within 35 degrees of the horizontal plane, back to front. 3 Slide the DVA-5205P into the dashboard until it clicks.
