Connect the cables of the cable snake to their corresponding pads, cymbals, or pedals, which are printed on the colored band at the end of each cable. (Note: The cable labeled "hi-hat" is for the cymbal while the one labeled "hi-hat control" is for the pedal. If you are playing on a hardwood floor, make sure the screws at the corners of the pedals are retracted or removed so they do not damage the floor. If you are playing on a carpeted floor, the velcro at the bottom of the pedals will secure them to the carpet, and you can use the screw to secure them further. The DM6 hi-hat pedal (included) can send out four different levels, allowing you even greater control of your hi-hat sound.
