As a highly versatile, resilient, yet cost-effective platform, the 1850 TSS-5C provides the lowest cost per bit networking in the industry. An integral part of the Alcatel-Lucent 1850 TSS portfolio, the 1850 TSS-5C operates in the access/aggregation layer. It feeds into higher capacity products such as the 1850 TSS-100, 1850 TSS-160 and 1850 TSS-320, extending T-MPLS support to the network edge. It is fully managed by the Alcatel-Lucent 1350 Optical Management System. Designed for outside plant deployment, the 1850 TSS-5C is an excellent choice for aggregating TDM/packet mobile backhaul traffic at 2G/3G/4G cell sites.
