Using your Receiver for the First Time After taking out your receiver from the packaging, please adhere to the following procedures: 1. Install the battery in the receiver; this can be done by removing the back pane of the receiver and inserting the battery correctly. Logging NMEA VisualGPSce (Pocket PC) Step 1 Step 2 At the bottom taskbar, the log function is located there. You screen should look similar to this, depending of how you make the program look, in this case, this is a tile layout with the 4 major screens. Step 2 At the top of the menu, you should see `settings' and under `settings' there should be four options, click `communications' ©Aktronix Technologies 17 Step 3 When the popup appears, check the box which is next to `Enable Logging' and click the other box which is labeled `. . . ' Step 4 A save box should popup. Name the text file as well as save it in your designated/chosen directory, after this click `save', this will start logging. ©Aktronix Technologies 18 Step 5 After you have finished logging (~5mins wait), repeat steps 1 and 2. This time, uncheck the box which is next to `Enable Logging' Step 6 Find the file that you have logged into your chosen directory. [. . . ] You have to set the unit as "NMEA 0183v2 Bluetooth" in the program. ©Aktronix Technologies 21 Q: 16 Channels?A: Our GPS unit supports 16 channels; however we were unable to find any commercial/shareware/free GPS programs that would support 16 channels. The GPS unit, is compatible is most GPS software which have Bluetooth functionality. A: Currently we see no incompatibility with those models; however we have not provided the software for testing.
