Some DVD discs are produced in a manner that allows specific or limited operation during playback. Press the STANDBY/ON button on the front panel or press the POWER button on the remote control to turn on the Unit while the Unit is in standby mode, press the FUNCTION button to select DVD mode. See CUSTOMIZING THE FUNCTION SETTINGS (page 29-36) before proceeding to step 2. After loading, for some discs, the Unit will automatically start playback of the disc. Notes: · Use the OPEN / CLOSE button on the front panel to open or close the disc tray. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to close the disc tray after you remove the disc. · Some Video CD are recorded with PBC (Playback Control), a menu with recorded contents may appear on the TV if you have turned the PBC on. Press the MENU button on the remote control to turn PBC on and off anytime during you are playing back a Video CD. Pausing playback (still mode) Press the II PAUSE button. To resume normal playback, press the PLAY button. Stopping playback Press the STOP button at the location where you want to interrupt playback.
