Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] 99152 Plugging the RPM Sensor into the Receiver Mounting the RPM Sensor Operating Instructions MT-4 Telemetry RPM/Speed Sensor Distributed Exclusively in North America by: Global Hobby Distributors 18480 Bandilier Circle Fountain Valley, CA 92708 Telephone: (714) 963-0329 Fax: (714) 964-6236 Email: service@airtronics. net http://globalservices. globalhobby. com http://www. airtronics. net The 99152 RPM Sensor is compatible with the Airtronics 92010 (RX-461) receiver that is used with the Airtronics MT-4 2. 4GHz FHSS-4T radio control system. The RPM Sensor uses infrared technology to record RPM data from a rotating part, such as a flywheel or a spur gear. [. . . ] If the spur gear or flywheel is dark-colored (black, blue or another dark color), apply the WHITE reflective decal. Use a pair of scissors or a modeling knife to cut the reflective decal to size. You could cut out a 5mm square piece, however, the corners of a square piece are more likely to pull up after use. When routing the sensor wire inside your model, be careful that it cannot come into contact with any moving parts or that it cannot be damaged in the event of a crash. When installed, it's important that the Sensor Pickup face the spur gear, flywheel or other moving part. The Black or White reflective decal should be positioned so that the reflective decal passes in front of the Sensor Pickup when the spur gear or flywheel is rotated. It's important that the reflective decal you apply contrasts with the part it's applied to and the Sensor Pickup should be approximately 1mm away from the reflective decal. To measure engine RPM, mount the RPM sensor to read from the flywheel. RPM Sensor Bind LED When the Sensor Pickup is receiving input, the Bind LED on the receiver will turn Green. For example, when you rotate the spur gear, the Bind LED will flash Green each time the reflective decal on the spur gear passes in front of the Sensor Pickup. This feedback is used to calibrate the RPM Sensor to display the speed of your model in either MPH or KM/H. For more information, see the Calibrating the RPM Sensor section below. [. . . ] After calibration, you should go back and reset the Maximum Speed value to the desired setting. For more information, see the Changing the Maximum Speed Value section on page 69 of your MT-4 2. 4GHz FHSS-4T transmitter's Operating Manual. Features and Specifications are Subject to Change Without Notice. [. . . ]
