Hold To mute both the outgoing and incoming sound during a call, press SHIFT then MUTE. While the hold function is being used, all microphones and your speaker are off. USING EXTENSION MICROPHONES The Audio Conferencing Unit External microphones have excellent unidirectional characteristics that optimize voice pickup while eliminating background noise. Together with a voice activated circuit that keeps unused microphones attenuated, the ACU with External Microphones solves the common problems found in large-group audio conferencing applications. 4. 1. Connecting extension microphones Connect the microphone cables to the Audio Conferencing Unit as shown in the figure below: 4. 2.
