General warnings · This appliance is not suitable for use by young children or infirm persons, without supervision. · Young children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with this appliance. · In order to avoid a fire, the appliance must be kept clean and vents kept unobstructed. · Do not spray aerosols in the vicinity of the appliance during operation. [. . . ] Press the "clock" button as often as necessary, until the "minute minder" symbol appears flashing. Set the desired length of time using the ­ or + buttons whilst the "timer arrow" is flashing. After 5 seconds from the last time adjustment the "timer arrow" will disappear and the minute minder has been set. The time indication "0. 00" and a flashing "minute minder" symbol will appear on the display. To stop the signal, press any of the buttons. 21 SIMPRD 342-1-483 1/3/06 11:00 AM Page 22 COOKING WITH YOUR TIMER Using your recipes function Your CHEFLOGIC controller has programmed recipes that will automatically set your cooking temperature, cooking time and oven function. The oven will automatically start up in "fast heat" mode to preheat the oven. Once the oven has reached the programmed preheat temperature, the buzzer will sound. Place the food into the oven (in the recommended shelf position) and the oven will automatically switch off after the preset time has elapsed. Ensure the appliance is on by pressing the "ON / OFF" button. Select the desired oven function by pressing the "function" button. Set the cooking temperature by pressing the ­ or + buttons to decrease or increase the temperature. NOTE: The temperature can only be adjusted when the degrees symbol "°" is flashing. When the set temperature is reached the buzzer will sound and the set temperature will be displayed. NOTE: "FHU" cannot be selected if the oven centre temperature is above the preset temperature. Activating the child-proof lock When the child lock is engaged, the oven cannot be switched on. Press the "function" and ­ buttons at the same time, hold until the word "SAFE" is displayed. NOTE: When the child-proof lock function is active the time of day and minute minder can only be set. Press the "function" and ­ buttons at the same time, hold until the word "SAFE" is cleared from the display. Beep on touch The beep sound can be activated anytime when a button is pressed. Press the "function" and + buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds, a single beep will sound to confirm the operation. As default the beep on touch mode is off. 22 SIMPRD 342-1-483 1/3/06 11:00 AM Page 23 COOKING WITH YOUR TIMER Demo mode This mode is intended to be used in retail shops to demonstrate the oven functionality without any power consumption except the oven lamps.
