If the load is small and the dishes lightly soiled the "pre wash", "main wash" and "rinsing" elements of the programme are shorter and there is lower water consumption. When the machine is fully loaded and the dishes very soiled the , , pre wash", "main wash" and "rinsing" elements of the programme take longer and the water consumption is higher. For this reason the programme duration, water and energy consumption levels for AUTOMATIC programmes can vary within the given ranges (see programme table).
