E. C. Directives: - 73/23 EEC of 19. 2. 73 (Low Voltage Directive) and subsequent modifications; - 89/336 EEC of 3. 5. 89 (Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive) and subsequent modifications. 52 INSTALLATION Positioning The machine must be installed in a wellventilated room. To obtain the best performance, it is important that the dryer is perfectly horizontal. Check this by using a spirit level and make any necessary adjustments to appliance's adjustable feet. To ensure the correct functioning of the machine, the incoming air must be free from dust and the discharge air must flow through the front ventilation grid. It is essential to provide a certain amount of space between the floor and the appliance for ventilation purposes. Blocking ventilation would inevitably lead to a build up of heat which would affect the appliance's efficiency. Important The hot air emitted by the tumble dryer can reach temperatures of up to 60C. The appliance must therefore not be installed on floors which are not resistant to high temperatures. When operating the tumble dryer, the room temperature must not exceed 35C, as it may affect the performance of the appliance. Make sure that air circulates freely at the back of the appliance and that intake grilles are not obstructed.
